This is ETL’s fixed landline phone whereby customers get the opportunity to make calls during the month and pay at the end of the month in the form of a bill. This is a convenient service for home users as there is no fear of running out of airtime, especially when it is used for emergency calls. Residential customers can also make use of the following services:
ADSL is a data communication technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines. An ADSL broadband connection takes the existing copper phone line and adds a dedicated computer link between the telephone exchange and the customers’ home. It works by splitting the current phone line into two separate channels – one for voice and the other for data.
Lekomo calling cards are recharge vouchers used on ETL’s fixed prepaid phones by customers prior to making calls. Lekomo calling cards are used to recharge prepaid telephone lines. The customer therefore does not pay the monthly rental.
Lehokela Post Paid is a very cheap way to call any number in any country at any time, fixed or mobile. An added advantage is that the network is never busy and it is suitable for the whole household, as opposed to mobile phones, which are for individuals.
Econet Telecom Lesotho Calling Card is a pre paid card that is used to make national and international calls on all ETL fixed lines payphones and switchboards. The card is available in denominations of M10, M20, M50 and M100.
SOHO (Small Office Home Office) is a wireless modem, which enables the customer to be connected to the telephone, the fax and the internet at the same time even though they cannot be used simultaneously.
